Alhamdulillah.. first obstacle overcome..
alhamdulillah, we reached Darling Da's place at close to 3.30pm. dad started the conversation soon after we've sat down with all of them. wats for sure is dat both sides have accepted the bonding tie that would be materialised. "hantaran" and dates were roughly mentioned, the former oredi finalised btw me n Da, while the latter to be discussed further. my parents did mentioned the earliest to be June 2006, latest 6 mths later. but i reckon dat if i can show some form of confidence dat i'll have a certain amt of money by Nov, we should be carrying on wif our plans by dis Dec 2005 insyaAllah..
Da's parents were very welcoming. i could see both my parents were at ease, knowing dat they have the same objectives as to the outcome of dis meeting. parents had their share of talks before mom n dad moved on to the grand finale...
my mom slipped the ring on Da's finger after she was called to the hall n taken a seat. mom kissed Da's forehead n cheeks, Da kissed her hand. i could feel mom's happiness in having to see her future daughter-in-law. later i confirmed wif Da something i overheard my mom tell her. mom said, "from now on, adress cik as Mak" :) my heart felt touched, all my past grieves n misunderstanding wif mom suddenly felt disappeared. I thank Allah for answering to my prayers, dat mom would accept Da as her own daughter.
May Allah bless our gathering and the ties that both families have bonded together from today, insyaAllah. Thanks ya all for the tremendous support dat u all have given since those hard times! personal thanks to Fadly, Khai and Hafizah n my dearest cousin, Masrina. thank ya all once again!
