Alhamdulillah, Allah is Great!
After all the problems and hiccups that has been surrounding our relationship, a sudden turn of the tide refreshes us with more strength and faith in the greatness of Allah.
Alhamdulillah, He has moved my friend's heart to give me a call yesterday morning to inform me of a HDB Walk-In Exercise. One has to join a queue to get the application form. In it, the queue number is printed. Hence if you were to submit the form at the last moment at 5pm yesterday, your queue number still depends on the time you collected the application form, hence no rush! My kind friend, Kwang Hwee, got a queue number of about 500+. Alhamdulillah, mine is 822. I saw someone wif a queue no. of 1987 while I was submitting mine. Alhamdulillah, the chances of us getting the flat that we want is high. Moreover, the quota for Malay or Indian or other applicants for the flats that we wanted is favouring us. To add on, I do not see much Malays staying at our area, therefore I think we do stand a very high chance. I pray for my chinese friend who wants to apply for Queenstown area, to get his too, since his quota is very very limited.
For once, I am sooo glad and happy, Alhamdulillah, that both my mom n dad are supportive of getting dis flat. N I'm glad dat my dad supported the idea of getting a 5-room flat. He also doesnt mind dat I would need to fork out cash every month to supplement the CPF contribution. I forsee dat we'll need to do dis for the next 5 yrs max. InsyaAllah by then, both Da and my CPF contribution will suffice the instalment.
So, the wait for the selection of flat begins now.. and hopefully it will end happily on next Tues, 7th June at 2.15pm. Pray for us, may Allah help us to endeavour dis tough journey of life, in building a family full of berkah on the foundations of Islam and Allah's Guidance, Amin.
